Contingent Search
- No up-front investment from the client
- Client pays fee only if candidate is hired
- The fee is a percentage of the hired candidate’s first year’s salary
- Fee is collected on successful completion of the search
Engagement Fee
This option signifies a mutual commitment between the recruiter and client
- Client pays a non-refundable portion of the fee at the beginning of the search
- Remainder of fee is paid on successful completion of the search
- Candidates are not shared with other companies for pre-determined amount of time
Retained Search
This option is best in Executive level, time sensitive searches or those needing confidentiality
- Fee is negotiated prior to search
- One third of fee is paid on initiation of search
- Weekly updates on search status provided to the client
Staff Augmentation/Contracting/Right to hire
Staff augmentation is a great option for companies when:
- Budgets are too tight to hire a full-time permanent employee but there is an excess of workload for current staff
- Specific projects warrant additional hours that won’t be needed when projects are completed
- Company has a short term niche project that needs specialized skills
